The high efficiency oxygen trap has a capacity of 2.5 liters at room temperature and is also effective for removing sulphur compounds such as hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans. The trap is intended for use with nonoxidizing gases such as; He, Ar, N2, and CH4 containing less than 1% oxygen. It will effectively remove oxygen to below 70 ppb using flow rates normally found in GC operation. The catalyst is a copper-based material that forms copper oxide in the presence of oxygen; no gas is produced from this reaction. The trap is delivered in the active state purged with helium. It is, therefore, recommended that it be purged with the gas being used. Maximum pressure 1000 psig. Approximate dimensions are 2 inches x 14 inches including end fittings.
